Owls of all shapes and sizes are perched on the walls and display stands at the Summerland Art Gallery.
The gallery’s latest show, Who Gives a Hoot, opened Thursday evening with a gala reception
The show features a variety of wols, from paintings and photographs to taxiermy, fibre arts, ceramics and more.
Elizabeth Wrobel, president of the Summerland Potters’ Guild, said a member of the guild suggested the idea of an owl-themed art exhibit.
“They’re cute. They’re interesting,” Wrobel said of owls.
“Their eyes are fascinating, added Charlotte Bats, vice-president of the potters’ guild.
Money raised through the art show will go to the South Okanagan Rehab Centre for Owls.
The show continues until Nov. 17.
