Summerland Ladies League

On Tuesday, June 27 the Summerland Ladies League held the Dorothy Franklin Tournament, a low gross/low net game.

First flight: First low gross Carol Mulligan, 89; second low gross Alison Coutts, 90; first low net Lil Smith, 73 countback; second low net Val Eibner, 73.

Second flight: First low gross Gwen Redfern, 93; second low gross Marie Gallant, 105; first low net Cheryl Wynia,69; second low net Lanette Graham, 81.

Summerland Senior Men

On June 22, the Summerland Senior Men’s Club played an individual net scores event.

Bill Caros led all players with a four under par net 67 followed closely by Ted Gamracy with a 68.

Five players shared the deuce pot, Jeff Goodis, Sandy McDowell, Chuck Harman, Dave Cain and Ted Gamracy.

First flight: First low net Bill Caros, 67; second low net Jeff Goodis, 70 countback; third low net David Carleton, 70; fourth low net Michel Perrault, 72.

Second flight: First low net Dave Handy, 72; second low net Russ Walker, 77; third low net Gord Young, 78 countback; fourth low net Harvey Mitchler, 78.

Third flight: First low net Andy Webster, 70; second low net Denis Wright, 71; third low net Rick Drewnisz, 72; fourth low net Joe Beggs, 74.

Fourth flight: First low net Ted Gamracy, 68; second low net Sandy McDowell, 71; third low net Nick Coe, 72 countback; fourth low net Dave Cain, 72.

On June 29, the Summerland Senior Men’s Club played a team event counting two net scores per hole.

Results: First Bill Webster, Bruce Hammond, Harvey King and Sam Par, 89; second Dave Carleton, Bob Tamblyn, Gord Young and Harvey Mitchler, 87 countback; third Warren Julien, Stew Macaulay, Martin Nisbet and Tom Newton, 85: fourth Jim Haddrell, Stan Brock, Alf Vaagen and Bob Dickeson, 84.

Six players shared the deuce pot with Julien scoring a pair and Bill Caros with an eagle two on the par four sixth hole.
