Young hockey players are getting ready to lace up their skates for minor hockey.

“We have numerous skill development sessions planned and can’t wait to see how our players put them into action,” said Lisa Chartrand, president of the Summerland Minor Hockey Association.

Registration will be held at the arena on Sept. 5, along with the annual hockey equipment swap. Tryouts for the representative teams will run from Sept. 4 to 13.

Chartrand said the association receives plenty of help and support from the community. “None of it would be possible without the countless volunteers the association relies on,” she said. “As an assocation we always make decisions with your child’s best interest in mind and to further hockey development in Summerland.”

Information will be available at summerlandminorhockey.org.
