Summerland junior basketball team qualifies for provincials

Team competed at Okanagan Valley Championships in Kamloops

The Summerland junior boys basketball team will head to the provincials in Langley. The Summerland junior boys basketball team has won a berth at the provincial championships.

The team had a strong season, playing valley-wide competition. Summerland was one of four teams to qualify for the provincials at the Okanagan Valley Championships in Kamloops on the weekend.

Kaleb Dykstra was named an all-star at the championships.

The provincials will be held in Langley Feb. 26 to March 1.

The team received sponsorship for the upcoming trip from Nesters Market, Summerland IGA and Zias Stonehouse Restaurant.
