Summerland Senior Men
Sept. 29 was the Summerland Senior Men’s Club season windup event.
The format was called a Shamble, counting the best drive on each hole with all players playing their own ball from there.
Results: First Steve Clement, Bryce Parker, Chuck Harman and Herb Williams, 23 under par; second Jeff Goodis, Dwain Sandrelli, Earl Edmondson and Dave Cain, 20 under par; third Peter Schnurr, Eamon Doherty, Rick Drewnisz and Ed Helgason, 19 under par; fourth (countback) David Carleton, Gord Young, Jeff Clarke and Ken Rae, 18 under par.
Summerland Ladies Club
On Oct. 4, the Summerland Golf and Country Ladies Club wound up the season with a turkey shoot, played in conjunction with a low gross/low net event.
Pat Gartrell won the turkey with a low net score of 73 by countback.
First flight: First Low Gross Vijai Vaagen, 93; second low gross Linda Brussee, 95; first low net Alison Coutts, 73 (countback); second low net Chris Haessig 73 (countback).
Second flight: First low gross Diana Leitch, 111 (countback); second low gross Pam Wester, 111 (countback); first low net Marie Gallant, 75, second low net Norma Chambers, 81.
