This year’s slow pitch tournament during the Summerland Action Festival is going to be a big one.

Tyler Evans, organizer of the tournament, said there are 80 teams competing for this tournament and each team carries around 12 players. Some have more, so an estimated 960 players are expected.

All the spots in the tournament are already full. The tournament has teams showing up from all over B.C.

Evans hopes to be able to accommodate more teams for the tournament next year.

The tournament start on Friday June 3 and ends on Sunday June 5.
