Bike to Work Week — known as Bike to Everywhere Week in Summerland — was held last week. Each day, a refreshment station was set up at the library building on Main Street.
This year, a total of 93 riders were registered for the week. Cyclists had the chance to win prizes.
Lisa Eaton won the Okanagan Trestles Tour. Fiona Girard won a gift basket from the Summerland and District Credit Union. Michael Yunker, Elizabeth Allen, Jake McAstocker and Kyle Ellis each won a bottle of wine from Summergate Winery. Wayne Cybak won a one-month health club pass. Randy Jones and Jacquie Paglocchini won Challenge Penticton jerseys. Jenny Ayers won a T-shirt from Freedom Bike Shop. Jane Theilmann won a tune-up from Freedom Bike Shop. Laura Blystone won a front light from Freedom Bike Shop. Renee Ritchey won a bike maintenance kit and Ian McIntosh won a bike bell and mirror.
