The residents of the Dr. Andrew Pavilion would like to send out a big thank you to all the groups who made possible the Spirit Square at Peach Orchard Beach. (Province of B.C., District of Summerland, Summerland Rotary, Summerland Lions, and the Summerland Credit Union.)
We have enjoyed numerous picnics there this summer. It is such a wonderful place to go for people in wheelchairs and walkers – easy parking, smooth flat sidewalks, and spacious covered area with wheelchair accessible picnic tables.
We have seen it used by people of all ages from far and wide – Boys and Girls Club from Kelowna, groups from Penticton, children for us to watch playing in the water park. On our last picnic we were serenaded on guitar by a visitor from White Rock.
Thank you for making such an easily accessible, scenic spot for us to go for picnics in this wonderful community.
