Dear Editor:

I am not against having a new pool constructed but I am certainly against the location of it.

Where are the figure skaters, public skating, hockey players, curlers banquet room patrons supposed to park?

Hockey players have heavy equipment bags to carry and why should they have to carry them from wherever they can find a parking spot just to get to the sport they enjoy?

How was the location determined?

Since the current pool building is at the end of its usable life and determined to be in a state of disrepair, it should be torn down and a new pool built on the current site.

We don’t need any more studies done regarding parking. We can already see that that is going to be a problem.

All these studies just cost more money on something everyone already knows the answer to.

This referendum is another waste of money when anyone with any common sense can see the location is not a good choice.

Come up with a better location before you have a referendum.

Doesn’t make sense to me.

Maybe build another bowling centre run by the city or put a couple lanes in the Seniors Retirement Homes for exercise.

There are a lot of seniors who go to Recope and swimming.

They can’t walk a great distance to use the facilities. Find a more appropriate location before you spend all that money.
