At first the idea of using solar power is appealing. It soundslike a good idea. It sounds as though it’s free energy. Of course that’s not true. There are costs and the payback has a limited life.

Having just read Richard Barkwill’s article, I think we should reconsider. If his conclusions are true, we Summerlanders shouldn’t do the solar panels proposed. Surely at the very least we should look carefully at his facts and hold back on the proposal for solar power.
