Dear Editor:
On behalf of the Summerland Community Cultural Development Committee, the Summerland Chamber of Economic Development and Tourism and the Faith Rebekah Hall (in particular, Sharon Stone) I would like to express our appreciation to all of the participants who attended the Conversation Café last Thursday.
The event was a huge success.
The IOOF Hall overflowed with people eager to discuss a topic that really matters: our community.
It was wonderful to see people with different ways of thinking discover what values we share and what we have in common.
As one of the café table hosts said, “It was interesting for me as a host to hear all viewpoints and to realize that although from varied and different backgrounds we all share a love and concern for our community.”
The results of the café will be posted on the Summerland Municipal website.
