Advisor would help school board

Throughout the School District 67 budget and school closure processes, the board and staff of School District 67 have asked for help.

Dear Editor:

Throughout the School District 67 budget and school closure processes, the board and staff of School District 67 have asked for help.

The Ministry of Education has answered that call by offering to fund and appoint a group of experts and consultants, referred to as a Special Advisor.

The board has been offered the best help that money can buy, all at no cost to either the board or the district. The catch? The board must agree.

If the board agrees to this no-cost, ministry-appointed Special Advisor, they will have expert assistance and guidance to help deal with the numerous budgets concerns, policy and process issues and other challenges facing SD 67 both now and in the future.

This may even help win back public trust.

If the board declines this free expert third-party input, we will be left wondering “what are they hiding?”
