Willis Greenaway August 8, 1922 - August 11, 2008 Willis passed away peacefully in Sechelt, B.C. of Alzheimers. Predeceased by his wife, Mona; Willis leaves behind a daughter and son, Linda and Robert; and sister, Merle. Willis was born in rural Manitoba; joined the RCAF in World War II; worked as an insurance agent in Winnipeg after the war; then moved to Summerland in 1975 to become an orchardist. Willis’ passion was running which he started doing in the early 1960’s. He was a member of the Penticton Pounders and participated in hundreds of races, as well as numerous B.C. Senior Games. A celebration of Willis’ life will be held at 3319 Johnson Street, Summerland 1 pm – 4 pm, Sunday, September 7th. Bring your favourite memories of Willis to share.
