DUNSDON, STEPHEN HARVEY

Died peacefully at Moog and Friends Hospice House, Penticton on Monday, Sept. 19, 2011. Born March 29th, 1919 in Summerland. Survived by his loving family; wife, Ruth of Summerland; children, Clifford (Margaret) of Summerland, Patricia Horner (George) of Kaleden, Joan Gladwin (Lee) of Summerland, Kenneth (Jolene) of Carmangay, Alberta, Meredith Salama of Swan River, Manitoba; grandchildren, Megan, Curtis, Brett, Michelle, Fae, Riley, Jeri-Lee, Christina, Arleigh, Pamela, Jamie, Stephanie and Robyn as well as 18 great grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers James and Harry (Doc) and sister, Margaret Ringstad. He was a veteran of World War 11. Steve was President of Branch 22, Summerland Royal Canadian Legion in 1960, President of the Pacific Command of the Legion, and President of the Dominion Command of the Legion from 1982- 1984. People called him Mr. Legion. A Legion Service and celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, September 24th at 1 p.m. at the Summerland Alliance Church, Summerland. In lieu of flowers donations to the Penticton & District Hospice Society or the Legion Poppy Fund would be appreciated. Arrangements in care of Everden Rust Funeral Services.
