ROBERTA "BOBBI" JEAN HUDGEON

April 3, 2012

Roberta “Bobbi” Jean Hudgeon

Born October 23, 1935, Indian Head, Saskatchewan. After a hard fought twelve year battle with lung cancer, passed away April 3, 2012 at Andy Moog Hospice. Bobbi is survived by her husband of 49 years, Don; New Zealand daughter Donna (Andrew) and family Mackenzie, Morgan, Izaak; Australia son Doug (Sarah) and family Elena and Callie; sisters Kay (Ralph) in Alberta and Velma in Saskatchewan. Bobbi was her Dad’s helper on their prairie farm and after business school joined the RCAF to “see the world”. Then off to the oil patch in AB and BC, eventually to Cassiar where she met Don. After years of moving around the northern mining/construction communities and with the family off on their own, they settled in Summerland in 1985. She has remained Don’s best friend and business partner throughout their sometimes unconventional and varied life experiences. There is a very “Special Place” in everyone’s hearts that Bobbi has touched. She will be checking up on us all. A Celebration of Bobbi’s Life was held at Summerland Funeral Home, 13205 Rosedale Avenue, Summerland, BC on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 1:00 p.m., followed by a reception at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #22, 14205 Rosedale Avenue, Summerland. In lieu of flowers a donation to Canadian Cancer Society, Box 174, Summerland, BC, V0H 1Z0 or Moog and Friends Hospice, P.O. Box 1105, Penticton, BC, V2A 6J9 would be greatly appreciated.
