1935-2021 ~ Michael Robertson passed away peacefully on July 30, 2021, at the age of 86 years. He was born in Edinborough, Scotland in 1935 and came to Canada in 1960. He resided in Winnipeg, Manitoba until 1967 when he moved to Richmond with his young family.
Mike was a carpenter by trade and was well known to be very particular and precise with his many accomplishments. He was amazed by the newest tools of today and we would have loved to have had the opportunity to use them.
He retired from Vancouver General Hospital after 28 years of service and moved to Summerland in 1996 to spend his retirement years with his wife Judy.
Remembered and sadly missed by his loving wife and soul mate  of 26 years Judy, children Valerie Robertson and Paul Robertson, grandchild Kyle Sibileau, step children Shari Stephens and Daniel  (Darlene) Romaniuk, step grandchildren, Zachary Stephens, Cody Stephens, Catherine Romaniuk; sister Kathleen Mackie (Robert) of Scotland, nieces Sheila and Diana, nephews Calum and Gordon all of Scotland.
Mike enjoyed several years of volunteering both in Richmond and Summerland. He also enjoyed travelling, golfing, curling, gardening and "happy hours" with his good friends
Mike will be fondly remembered for his zest for life and so many happy times with family and good friends.
There will be no service as per Michael's wishes.
Our sincere thanks and appreciation for Mike's special doctors involved in his health care. Dr. Bannerman, Dr. Davidson and Dr. Irvine. He had such great respect for them all. Also, many thanks to the Summerland Providence Funeral Home for all their consideration and kindness at this time.
