With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marilynn Scott of Summerland, BC. Marilynn passed away peacefully on December 5, 2023, at Moog and Friends Hospice House in Penticton, surrounded by her family.
Marilynn's life was a quiet tapestry of love and dedication, woven deeply into the fabric of her family and community. She is survived by her devoted husband Ron and her loving children, Dennis (Lianna) and Leanne (Bryce). She also leaves behind a close-knit circle of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, Jim and Lillian Dunsdon, and her brothers, Doug, Ray, and Vern.
In her professional life, Marilynn was an entrepreneur, starting as a real estate agent and then moving on to owning a few local businesses. However, her true calling was her family, whom she cherished and protected with all her might. She found happiness in simple pleasures like tending to her garden, decorating her home, and exploring new places. Her greatest delight was in hosting gatherings for her family and friends, filling her home with warmth and laughter.
In remembering Marilynn, we celebrate a life lived with gentle strength, unwavering love, and a deep commitment to those she held dear. Her presence left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her.
A Memorial Service will be held to honor Marilynn's life at the Summerland Funeral Home, 13205 Rosedale Avenue, on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 1:00 pm. Condolences may be left at providencefuneralhomes.com.
