With his wife Cora (Ann) and daughter Heather by his side, Lorne passed away at Red Deer Hospital. With every visit for the past month he reminded us of his love for us and gratitude to God for all the blessings he had received. Lorne was devoted to the Lord his whole life.
Lorne is survived by "The love of My Life" Ann Cora Farrell. They were married for 71 wonderful years in Summerland, where Lorne had lived since 5 years old.
Wonderful Father to Heather (Chris) Grauman. Father-in-law to Tsafrir Reches Bloomfield. Loving Grandfather to Caleb Grauman, Allison (Ben) Winter, Myia Bloomfield, Alaya Bloomfield. Great Grandfather to Venice and Giselle Winter.
Lorne was predeceased by his beloved Son Mark Bloomfield in 2020.
Lorne also is survived by his wonderful family in Kamloops, sisters Ruth, Joyce and brother Homer. Also, many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
Lorne was a leader in the fruit cannery industry his whole life. He began by working with the Milne family after school from the age of 12 until retirement. Lorne once said, Find something you love doing and you'll never work another day.
He loved his community at the Summerland Baptist Church and always helped wherever he could.
His kindness, gentleness, and generosity of spirit endeared Lorne to all who knew him. The sense of your presence in spirit and our tender, loving memories of you will remain with us forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Summerland BC next spring.
