Kay McMillan, loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully  at the age of 90.

She will be dearly missed by her children Pat (Tim) Chutskoff, John (Linda) McMillan, Elaine (Theron) Pidherny, and Sandy (Blair) McMillan; and grandchildren Steven Chutskoff, Aaron and Dustin Pidherny, and Savannah and Sabrina Vogel.

Born in the Ukraine, Kay immigrated to Canada at the age of 9. Raised in Saskatchewan, she graduated from high school in Lafleche, SK, continuing on to business college in Calgary and then working as a bookkeeper. Marrying into the air force life, she dedicated her life to raising her family on many air force bases including France, Germany, and across Canada, finally arriving at Summerland in 1974.

Kay was a bowling enthusiast and went on to win a medal at the B.C Games. Her other pastimes included Bingo and volunteering at the Summerland Hospital. Above all else, she loved spending time with family, who immensely enjoyed  her perogies, cabbage rolls, and apple pies.

The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff at Dr. Andrew Pavilion for the compassionate care they provided.

A family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate her life.
