1942-2008 JUDY GURNEY, admired nurse, tireless hiker, graceful skier, accomplished seamstress, fantastic cook, fierce dragonboater and world traveler died of melanoma at Vernon Hospice House on October 6. She will be vividly remembered for her skills, her knowledge, and her generosity by many: her son Derek Gurney; common-law husband Peter Peto; relatives in BC, the US, and the UK; and friends in her homes of Vernon, Summerland, Squamish, and Duncan.
