Irene passed away peacefully January 5, 2019 at Penticton Regional Hospital. She will be remembered and sadly missed by her son Thomas Oswald, daughter Alice Holc, son-in-law Ron Masson, brother Chuck Atkinson and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends, especially Nancy Smith of Summerland. She was predeceased by her husband Edgar 'Red', daughters Penny Mason, and Marilyn Blake.
Irene was well connected to the community and volunteered for many years at the Hospice Thrift Store. Well loved for her generous spirit and gift of hospitality, Irene touched the lives of all who knew her and will be sadly missed. A Celebration of Life, date to be announced, will be held this spring.
