LANSDELL, ED
Died peacefully at Hospice House on Thursday, October 13, 2011. Born October 10, 1923 in Wrentham, England. Ed was in the RAF until retiring in 1946. He moved to Canada in 1947 and worked with the Atlantic Ferry Command. He and Joan moved to Summerland approximently 30 years ago. Ed was active in the community. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club, Masonic Lodge, a volunteer with Meals on Wheels, the Museum and the Canadian Cancer Society. He helped start the Summerland Air Cadet Corp and then helped with the Penticton Sea Cadet Corp. Ed is survived by his loving family; wife, Joan of Summerland; daughter, Candace of Calgary; son, David of Peachland; step children, Mike and Sean Madill; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by daughter, Paulette. No Service by Request. Cremation. A gathering to celebrate his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Moog and Friends Hospice House would be appreciated.
