It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Beryl Uri of Summerland, BC, loving wife, mother and grandmother on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the age of 85 years. Beryl leaves behind her devoted husband Don of 66 years, her sister Marion Wilson of Creston and a large extended family that will forever miss her easygoing and wonderful attitude towards life. A loving mother of five children – Sharon Uri of Creston, Marion and Jack Elder of Penticton, Rick Uri of Vancouver, Dianne and Gordon Young of Summerland, Leonard and Elizabeth Uri of Williams Lake. She will be dearly missed by her 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. A celebration of Beryl’s life will be held on Friday, March 4, 2011 at 10:00 am at Summerland Funeral Home, 13205 Rosedale Avenue, Summerland, BC, with Reverend Kent Israel officiating.
