While the details surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic are changing by the day, business owners in Summerland are beginning to think about plans for recovery once the pandemic is over.
Summerland mayor Toni Boot said she has noticed a change in tone when talking to business leaders.
“The conversation with business is certainly ramping up,” she said.
In addition the Summerland Chamber of Commerce is sending out daily updates with COVID-19 resources and information for its membership.
“The chamber has been extremely busy during these unprecedented times,” a chamber statement reads. “We are diligently trying to get information to you that is easy to manage.”
Boot said the discussions about future business growth plans are positive.
“It’s never too early to start planning on how to recover,” she said.
