The municipality of Summerland is applying for a $25,000 grant to benefit seniors in the community.

The grant application is through the Age-Friendly Assessment, Action Plan and Planning funding program.

From 2005 to 2018, a total of 126 B.C. communities have undertaken age-friendly assessments.

Age-Friendly BC is a seniors-based initiative with the province’s Ministry of Health. It is administered by the Union of B.C. Municipalities.
