The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen is supporting community recovery efforts for residents and property owners affected by the November 2021 atmospheric river event.
Evacuation Alerts and Orders affected residents in many areas across the region. The regional district is now conducting an After Action Review to record lessons learned, provide recommendations to enhance operations and emergency response capacity and complete an action plan to address issues that arose during the response.

The review process includes a survey designed to gather and review feedback about the response effort to the atmospheric river flooding. The survey will not evaluate the individual performance of those involved in supporting operations. Instead, the questions are related to initial flood response, including notifications, evacuation alerts and orders and support provided during the initial days of the event.
The survey, available online at questionnaire.simplesurvey.com/f/s.aspx?s=d491795e-cf2b-484f-a0ff-f9eb159bf79e, will close Friday, May 6.
