A former Princeton man, who was once banned from the community for three years, by the courts, pleaded guilty to numerous charges in circuit court Thursday, March 14.

Kevin Lynch admitted to driving while impaired.

On April 26, 2023, Lynch was arrested after the truck he was driving collided with two other vehicles, court heard.Police were called and Lynch passed a roadside sobriety test.

He was then required to provide a urine test, which indicated the presence of drugs in his system.

He was fined $1,000 and prohibited from driving.

Lynch also pleaded guilty to two counts of driving while prohibited, which occurred on separate occasions, later in the same year.

He was fined $750 for the first offence, and sentenced to 14 days for the second, to be served on weekends.

Lynch has a lengthy criminal record and a history of driving without a license.

Two additional charges of driving while prohibited were stayed.

“This is a pretty crazy Vehicle Act record,” said Judge Greg Koturbash. “But I can say that it is a win that there aren’t any recent criminal charges, so something must have changed. Maybe (you) are growing up at the age of 52.”

When asked if he wanted to make a statement Lynch said, “I’d like to apologize to the public and this will never happen again.”
