Power restored to most Summerland homes

Outage occurred Oct. 13 around 10:45 a.m.

Power has been restored for most Summerland residents affected by a power outage on Oct. 13.

The power disruption occurred around 10:45 a.m. and affected residents and businesses near Okanagan Lake, as well as some areas west of Highway 97.

As of 12:15 p.m., the municipality of Summerland reported that power had been restored for most of those affected, but 75 to 100 customers were still without power.

It is expected that power will be restored by early evening.
