Early voting is Oct. 5,8 and 15 at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre.

Get your votes in early on Oct. 5, 8 and 13 for Penticton’s municipal election.

The polling station at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre will be open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. on all three days.

The City uses the Provincial Voters List for its list of eligible voters. If you’re unsure whether you are on the Voters List, you can register as an elector on the day that you vote at the polling station with two pieces of ID, one must have an address and at least one must have a signature.

To vote in the City of Penticton election as a resident elector, you must:

* Be a Canadian Citizen;

* Be 18 years of age or older on the day of registration;

* Be a resident of the City of Penticton on the day of registration;

* Have been a resident of B.C. for at least 6 months before the day of registration; and

* Not be disqualified from voting in an election.

Non-residents who own residential property in the city can also vote in the election, however they must have been the registered owner of the property for at least 30 days ahead of registering to vote. If there is more than one registered owner, only one individual with written consent from the majority of the owners register as a non-resident voter.

Non-resident property electors can pre-register by contacting election@penticton.ca.

When registering as a non-resident property elector, either in advance or on the day of voting, you will be required to provide proof of property ownership (Tax Notice, Land Titles document) and the consent form signed by other registered owners allowing you to cast a vote on their behalf.
