Gary Strachan, retired scientist, holds a cluster of Sovereign Coronation seedless table grape. This grape variety was bred at the Summerland Research Station by Don Fisher in the mid 1960s, field selected by Lyall Denby, and laboratory tested by Strachan. It has become one of the most popular table grape varieties in Canada.
