Penticton and area can expect more snow for the first half of the long weekend, followed by bluebird skies.
According to Environment Canada, the area could see between two to four cm of snow today with a 60 per cent chance of flurries. We could see the temperature get up to zero, with a low of -2 degrees heading into the evening Friday and an expected wind chill near -8.
On Saturday, Feb. 16, the skies are forecasted to be cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of flurries. We could see the temperature reach one degree with a low of -7 degrees overnight.
Sunday, Feb. 17 is when we’ll start to see the sun poke through the clouds, but the temperature is still anticipated to hang around -3. Overnight we can expect clear skies while the mercury dips even further to -12.
Family Day, Feb. 18 is also expected to be sunny and cool, with a high of -4. The skies should remain clear as the day winds down and temperature drops to a low of -9, so be sure to dress accordingly for outdoor activities.
