The Community Foundation of the South Okanagan Similkameen has two grant options to fund projects for 2021.
The current grant cycle is open for regular program and project funding, not related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The application deadline is Oct. 16 and funds will be paid starting in January, 2021. Applicants will have a year to complete the project or program.
Information on the application project is available online at www.cfso.net/grants/apply-for-a-grant/.
In addition, the community foundation has funding available for projects and programs related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The first round of programs, through the Community Response Fund, has been closed, but a second round of funding is available through the Community Support Fund.
This funding is to support charities with COVID-19 projects.
The application portal opens Oct. 5 and closes Oct. 30. All applications will be reviewed and allocated by Nov. 16.
The community foundation has more than $170,000 for all projects and programs related to COVID-19 for registered charities in the South Okanagan and Similkameen.
Further information on the funding for COVID-19 projects can be found online at www.cfso.net/community-response-fund-application/.
Grant funding will be provided by Dec. 15 and the final reports must be completed by March 31, 2021.
The Community Foundation of the South Okanagan Similkameen was started in the early 1990s. It grants more than $400,000 a year to charities in the region.
