Super Bowl Sunday is inching closer and there’s lots to do and see in Penticton before – and during – the big game.

Here’s what’s happening from Feb. 9 to 11:

‘Birthday Club’ at Many Hats Theatre (Feb. 9 to 11)

Penticton’s Many Hats Theatre is inviting the community to watch performers present Phil Olson’s ‘Birthday Club.’

The play runs on Friday and Saturday, at 7:30 p.m., and on Sunday, at 2 p.m.

The action will continue every weekend until March 3.

Many Hats Theatre is located inside the Cannery Trade and Convention Centre.

Vees return home (Feb. 10)

The Penticton Vees are back on the ice Saturday night when they host the Prince George Spruce Kings at the South Okanagan Events Centre.

Penticton was on the road last weekend and defeated the Salmon Arm Silverbacks and Merritt Centennials in succession.

Okanagan Symphony Orchestra (Feb. 10)

The Okanagan Symphony Orchestra presents ‘Kindred Spirits’ at Cleland Theatre on Saturday night.

Performers from the symphony will be joined by members of the Okanagan Youth Symphony Orchestra for a side-by-side performance.

Show starts at 7 p.m.

Taylor Ashton at the Dream Cafe (Feb. 10)

The Brooklyn, NY-based and Vancouver-born Taylor Ashton performs at the Dream Cafe on Saturday night.

Aided by his guitar and banjo work, Ashton is expected to showcase his album, titled Stranger To The Feeling. Show starts at 8 p.m.

Super Bowl Sunday in Penticton (Feb. 11)

Penticton’s bars and pubs are expected to be busy this weekend when Super Bowl LVIII – featuring the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs – kicks off from Las Vegas, Nevada.

At the Barley Mill Brew Pub, there will be a meat draw and football squares during the big game.

The Copper Mug, meanwhile, is hosting a Super Bowl party in support of the Penticton Hockey Alumni Club.

Clancy’s Pub says there will be prizes during their football party.

Slackwater Brewing is opening its doors for the big game and is welcoming people to come watch on the venue’s big screen.

The Hub on Martin is also encouraging people to stop by for Super Bowl LVIII.

Valentine’s Fundraiser for Critteraid (Feb. 14)

Extending past this weekend is a Valentine’s Day fundraiser at Highway 97 Brewing, in support of Critteraid.

The event runs from 5 to 10 p.m. and will feature a live and silent auction, as well as a buffet dinner.

Tickets can be purchased at the brewery, Critteraid thrift store and online at Eventbrite.
