“The Beer of Wine Country” made its mark at the 27th annual Fest of Ale in Penticton.
Oliver’s Firehall Brewery took home an award on April 13, for its ‘Caution: Sour’ Bumbleberry Honey seasonal beer. It was awarded Best in Class in the Okanagan category.
“Fest of Ale is always a rewarding weekend for our team, not just because we get to share our brewery creations with passionate craft beer fans, but we also get to participate in fun industry events,” the brewery wrote in a social media post.
The two-day event took place at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre and featured more than 70 breweries and cideries from across B.C.
Are you wondering how the award-winning beer from Oliver tasted?
“Brewed with local honey from just up the road, this tart and fruity kettle sour is jammed with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals from the blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries,” they said.
Firehall Brewery — nicknamed “The Beer of Wine Country” has been open since 2011 on Oliver’s Main Street.
