Last Wednesday, 18 students from Summerland Secondary School and 20 from Summerland Middle School were part of 20,000 youth who attended We Day in Vancouver.
We Day is an event hosted by We Charity, an organization started by Craig and Marc Kielburger to create social change in the world.
As these students know, these tickets are earned, not bought. It is an experience that inspires and rewards people who worked hard to make an impact.
Speakers and performers included Hedley, Grace Vanderwaal and Jacob Tremblay.
The focus this year was on “Generation We,” the youth who are making a difference in their communities today.
