In a statement, Bob Hamilton of the Summerland NeighbourLink board, said Sotir provided much help to the organization.

“For many years, Terry was at our helm, guiding our organization with a kind and steady hand. She had a calming way about her and was able to recognize the strengths of others, encourage and enable us to do the tasks that needed to be done,” he said.

NeighbourLink has provided assistance to individuals in need in the community. In addition, the organization has held regular soup socials and in past years has held a Christmas dinner match-up for those who would otherwise be alone at that time of the year.
