The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 22 Summerland has a new initiative called Buddy Check Coffee.

This is a free veteran-run program offering comradeship in a relaxed environment allowing the networking and sharing of experiences and stories. Veterans, their families and caregivers are invited.

The Royal Canadian Legion includes retired and active RCMP members as veterans.

“The Summerland Legion is reaching out into the community to invite veterans to our branch,” said Peter McKenna, branch president. We are hoping coffee with other vets will be an opportunity to make new friends and learn about the support services the legion may help them tap into.”
