Summerland ballet students mark World Ballet Day LIVE

International event on Oct. 23 featured performances from around the world

While the world celebrated World Ballet Day LIVE on Oct. 23, Summerland ballet dancers practiced for a future World Ballet Day.

World Ballet Day Live is a worldwide celebration of ballet, with 19 ballet companies around the world hosting events. These included the Australian Ballet, the Bolshoi Ballet, the Royal Ballet, the National Ballet of Canada and the San Francisco Ballet.

Their performances were broadcast live on Facebook. In Summerland, dancers at In House Performing Arts Studio were busy fine-tuning their skills.
