Penticton seniors get musical thank you

Village by the Station residents receive a musical thank you.

Dane Kane delivered a musical thank you to residents of Village by the Station seniors centre Wednesday.

Describing it as a “token of our appreciation,” Kane said the music and certificate of appreciation was for the work by Village by the Station did for month’s annual B.C. Thanksgiving Food Drive.

More than 4,082 kilograms of food was collected from Penticton and district area during the weekend event.

The food collected was given the Salvation Army food bank for distribution to the less fortunate.

According to organizers there was a strong community presence in this year’s food raiser with individuals, businesses and other organizations taking part.
