Kichinojo (Jack) Imayoshi, in the back left, was a Summerland orchardist for many years.
He was born in Kagoshinaken, Japan in 1890 and moved to Summerland in 1910. In 1919, he returned to Japan where he was married.
He and his wife Tsuruko lived in Summerland where they raised two sons and three daughters.
In 1928, he bought an orchard at what is now the site of Summerland Secondary School.
He died in 1995, at the age of 105.
