Energy factors that impact housing across the South Okanagan will be subject to a community discussion next week in Penticton.

The Canadian Home Builders’ Association South Okanagan is hosting a dinner event on Tuesday, June 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Okanagan College’s Penticton campus.

Featuring speakers Jason Wolfe from Fortis BC and economist Ryan McLaughlin with the BC Real Estate Association, the event will take a deeper look at the province’s energy landscape and how it relates to housing in the South Okanagan.

Guests will also take a look at the current economic factors that continue to impact housing in the region.

The event will kick off next to the school’s trades department, with Cannery Brewing on hand to provide beer.

Catering at the event will be provided by Penticton’s Brodo Kitchen.

Non-members of the CHBA South Okanagan can register for the event here, for $50.
