Voting has now started to help Cannery Brewing’s Patt Dyck win the 2023 BC Food & Beverage Leadership Award.

The local business leader who’s been involved with Penticton’s craft beer scene for more than 20 years has been recognized provincially is one of three finalists for the award.

Voting is set to take place from Sept. 5 to 19. You can vote here.

“We all know that she’s an amazing leader, and we are thrilled she is a well-deserved finalist,” a social media post from the brewery reads.

The award is distributed each year to those in the industry who lead with “dedication and inspiration.”

The winner will be announced on Oct. 11, during a BC Food & Beverage ceremony at the Rocky Mountaineer Station in Vancouver.

Dyck and her husband Ron founded Cannery Brewing in 2001. It is currently located at 198 Ellis Street in Penticton.

Along with serving as a co-founder, Dyck is also currently the brewery’s general manager.
