A member of the Summerland Skating Club is a quadruple gold skater.

Sabrina Fortunato from Oliver skates with the Summerland club.

She completed her skills which was her final gold skating test in 2017 with head coach Louise Evans of the Summerland Skating Club.

Fortunato began skating when she was 10 years old and only ever skated through fall and winter up until a few years ago where she began skating in spring as well.

Gold tests are difficult to pass and Fortunato has worked hard to become successful.

When she turned 16 she jumped into her coaching career, something she has always wanted to become since many of her role models were her coaches and due to her passion towards the sport of figure skating.

She is now a coach with the Summerland Skating Club alongside head coach Louise Evans and other club coach Patricia Fortunato.
