On Tuesday, July 27, the Summerland Golf and Country Ladies Club played Criss Cross. The player counts either Hole 1 or 10, Hole 2 or 11, Hole 3 or 12, etc. then doubles the nine-hole total and deducts the handicap to arrive at a net score
First flight: First Carol Mulligan, 58; second (tie) Pat Gartrell and Christine Haessig, 60; fourth Frances Colussi, 62.
Second flight: First Marie Gallant, 53; second Vi Ward, 57; third (tie) Maribel Rothfield and Norma Chambers, 59.

On July 29, the Summerland Senior Men’s Club played an all net scores golf event.
George Carswell was the low player for the day with a five under 67. Nine players shared the deuce pot.
First flight: First low net Dave Carleton, 69; second low net Randy Jones, 70; third low net Jim Haddrell, 71; fourth low net Bryce Parker, 72 cb.
Second flight: First low net Glen Brennan, 72; second low net Harvey Mitchler, 73; third low net Alf Vaagen, 74 cb; fourth low net Eric Johnson, 74.
Third flight: First low net Eric Helgason, 74; second low net Jeff Clarke, 75 cb; third low net Bob Dickeson, 75 cb; fourth low net Denis Wright, 75.
Fourth flight: First low net George Carswell, 67; second low net Ted Gamracy, 74 cb; third low net Gary Hollingshead, 74; fourth low net Bob Tamblyn, 75.
