Summerland Ladies Club

On Tuesday, Aug. 27, the Summerland Golf and Country Ladies Club played ONES, a game in which the hole numbers starting with those letters (i.e. 1, 6, 8, 9, etc.) are counted, the results doubled and the handicapped is subtracted to get the final score.

First flight: First Christine Haessig, 77; second Helen Pybusm 84.

Second flight: First Ellen Clay, 74; second Diana Leitch, 78; third Janis Gollm 80.

Summerland Senior Men

This week we played a team game called “Waltz Time” where scores were counted one, two, three players on successive holes.

Results:

The winning team with 92 points was Jim Haddrell, Martin Nisbet, Eric Johnson and Jerry Sauve.

In second place by countback with 88 points was Peter Schnurr, Garth Humphreys, George Carswell and Bob Tamblyn.

Third place went to Barry Wicker, Sandy McDowell, Al Thomas and Art Ecker.

Eight players shared the deuce pot with Jerry Sauve scoring two.
