On Oct. 29, the Summerland Jets hosted the South Okanagan hockey squad.
The Jets team recently brought up goaltender Atticus Zaseybida Skinner from the minors.
His nickname is ‘The Showman” and he lived up to his name, making some spectacular saves.
The McDonald’s Golden Moment Jersey went to Kenleigh Derry. After each game, this jersey is awarded to the player who exhibited outstanding teamwork.
The game’s three stars were Blake Shewchuk, Emily Gutowski and Maria Jonson.
Probably the nicest goal of the game was when Shewchuk passed the puck to scorer Harvey Barker in the slot. Honourable mention has to go to Wyatt Langlois, with some nifty goals.
The crowd favourite was Casey ‘Crusher’ Harbinson. He has the habit of dancing during stoppage of play, when the music is playing.
