Golfers in Summerland are ready to hit the greens for another season.

“It was a long, rough winter, but the course is in great shape right now,” said Kim Lam, owner of Sumac Ridge Golf and Country Club. “Right now it looks beautiful.”

The nine-hole course opened on March 23 and will remain open until at least the end of October.

Staff at Summerland Golf and Country Club are preparing to open the course on Friday, April 6. “It wintered well,” said Jason Sweeney, general manager at the golf course. “It’s cool and we still have some snow in shaded areas.”

The course will remain open until the end of October. Both courses also have regular league play during the golf season.
