Summerland Ladies Club

On Aug. 23, the Summerland Golf and Country Ladies Club competed for the Smith Cup. The annual Summerland Ladies Club in-house low net tournament with a new name.

Results: Low net overall Lil Smith, 68; runner-up Janis Goll, 70; third Pat Gartrell, 71; fourth Vi Ward 71 (countback), fifth Vijai Vaagen, 73; sixth Carol Mulligan, 74; seventh Alison Coutts, 74; eighth Belinda Daniel, 74; ninth Maire Gallant 74 (countback); 10th Diana Leitch, 78.

KP Hole #4 Marie Gallant; Longest Putt hole # 9 Pam Webster.

Summerland Senior Men

On Aug. 25, the Summerland Senior Men’s Club golfed an all net scores event.

Martin Bouchard led all players with a five under par net 67. Seven players shared the deuce pot.

First flight: First low net Martin Bouchard, 67; second low net Harvey Mitchler, 71; third low net Ron Schramm, 73; fourth low net Jim Haddrell, 74 (countback); fifth low net Brian McGuire, 74 (countback).

Second flight: First low net Andy Webster, 72; second low net Alf Vaagen, 73 (countback); third low net Rick Rewnisz, 73 (countback); fourth low net Joe Beggs, 73; fifth low net Eamon Doherty, 74 (countback).

Third flight: First low net Ted Gamracy, 70; second low net Terry Steinke, 71; third low net Bob Tamblyn, 74 (countback); fourth low net James Woods, 74; fifth low net Al Thomas, 75.
