Single-game tickets to watch the reigning B.C. Hockey League champions at the South Okanagan Events Centre go on sale Friday morning, Sept. 9.

Ahead of the Penticton Vees’ pre-season opener Friday night against the Vernon Vipers, the team is making 2022-2023 single-game stubs available for purchase at 10 a.m.

The Vees, who captured the Fred Page Cup after defeating the Nanaimo Clippers in May, kick off their regular-season schedule on Sept. 23 when they host the Trail Smoke Eaters. Penticton will raise its championship banner prior to the game.

Tickets for adults will be $17, while seniors will be charged $15. Youth under the age of 19 can get in for free.

Local business Peters Brothers Construction is paying for the admission of youth fans all season long.

“Through Peters Brothers’ generosity, local families will continue to have an affordable entertainment option and at a top facility like the SOEC,” said Fred Harbinson, the team’s head coach, general manager and president. “This initiative has made such an impact on our community over the last seven years. We can’t wait to see all the families and young fans back at the rink.”

Tickets can be purchased at the SOEC’s box office or at valleyfirsttix.com.

The Vees’ full 2022-2023 calendar can be found here, with an Interior Conference Finals rematch against the West Kelowna Warriors on Oct. 1. and the team’s regular-season finale with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks on March 26 among the highlights.

Penticton opens its pre-season Sept. 9 at 7 p.m. at the SOEC, before wrapping up exhibition action against the Vipers again and Chilliwack Chiefs on Sept. 16 and 17, respectively.
