Summerland Men’s Soccer is looking for two or three experienced players for the upcoming 2018 season.
The team plays in the Okanagan Master’s Soccer League which is comprised of over 35, 45 and 55 divisions.
The Summerland team is registered in the over 55 group and finished well this past season and is looking to improve its standing for 2018.
Though the league is recreational and the emphasis is on good sportsmanship and friendliness it is competitive play.
The season runs from April to the end of September. To be eligible for the 55 league you must be 55 as of Dec. 31.
Summerland men’s soccer has been actively represented in the Okanagan Valley men division since the 1970s and has won numerous titles and championships. Home games are played at Dale Meadows on Thursday evenings or other venues up and down the Valley.
Game times generally are at 6 p.m. at start of season and at 7 p.m. into the summer. Refreshments are usually provided after the game.
